Tri-tech health and safety  policy

General Statement

It is the company policy of Tri-Tech Services to carry out all their working activities in accordance with the Health and Safety at work Act 1974, including all relevant approved codes of practice and current legislation. Our statement recognises  the legal and moral obligations, to both employees, sub contractors and members of the public, we aim to provide the safest working conditions at all times, minimising any possible risk of accidents in the workplace.

Company

The owner of the company Mr Bob Lydon, has the overall responsibility in ensuring that this policy is adhered to, and will update the policy, as and when new legislation is available. Health and Safety will be the key consideration in the workplace.

Arrangements

Tri-Tech Services will carry out safe working practices in order to: Consult specialists as required on health and safety issues. Ensure that documentation is available for COSHH products Any tools are safe for use and correct for the task. Correct protective and safety items to be worn at all times in the workplace.

Tri-Tech Services Responsibilities

Any equipment belonging to Tri-Tech Services will be inspected prior to use. Risk assessments and method statements will be made available to anyone upon request. Accidents will be recorded in accident book Sub contractors to be made aware to inspect everything prior to use. Any meters / gauges etc which require calibration shall be done at intervals as recommend by the manufacturer. Investigate any reported injury, unsafe appliance or dangerous workplace. Ensure any/all subcontractors are aware they are responsible for themselves and all members of the public. Specialist equipment is used as and when required, and relevant training on its operation is available to the user. No smoking is permitted at any workplace, signage will be provided. RIDDOR reportable accidents shall be reported immediately to the HSE, and recorded on the relevant forms. Ensure all sub contractors carry first aid kits, in their vehicles. A first aid travel kit will be carried in the company vehicle at all times, and will remain fully stocked. Prior to any works we will check with the Clients' asbestos register, and if any suspicions of any asbestos are found, any works shall stop and the client will be made aware.

Due to Tri-Tech Services only very rarely using sub contractors, the over view of the statement policy is that each and everyone of is responsible for their own and everyone else's safety, taking responsibility for each and every situation must be paramount at all times.
